After the era of Redmi 3s, Xiaomi successfully launched it’s successor Redmi 4 in India.
There is not a huge difference between the Redmi 4 and Redmi 3s except the design. The Redmi 4 is more slimmer, has 2.5D curved glass and more easy to handle in one hand. The speaker has been moved from the back to the bottom of the phone.
Both the phone is almost same as they have 5.0 inch 720P LCD display with 294 ppi. And finally this time it has the Corning Gorilla glass protection but the version is not specified yet. Redmi phone feature the same 13 megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with phase detection auto focus(PDAF). It can shoot 1080p video at 30 frame per second. 5 megapixel with f/2.2 lens is in the front to take care the selfies.
The one other change is the Snapdragon 435 chipset in Redmi 4 over the snapdragon 430 in Redmi 3s. The GPU is Adreno 505. Redmi 4 has hybrid sim slot and supports 4G VoLTE. It supports one micro and nano sim or a micro sim and a micro sd card. You can use upto 128 GB micro sd card. There are three variants of Redmi 4. One comes with 2GB Ram+16 GB storage and the others are 3/32Gb and 4/GB.
The interesting this here is that all the three variants come with fingerprint scanner at the back. Previously in Redmi 3s it was not available for the 2/16GB variant. The phone runs android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with MIUI 8 on the top. There is also a chance to experience the Android Nougat features through the developer preview.
Redmi 4 comes in Black and Gold color variant. The device will be available in India from 23rd May through Amazon India. It is laso available in MI HOme in Bengaluru.
